How We Got Started
I started the company in 2006 with the goal of providing IT Support for Small Businesses who could not afford or didn’t need a full time IT staff.
I found that too many IT companies used the complexity of IT issues to overcharge their customers or make them overspend on technologies they didn’t need. Other companies put their customer’s data at risk by failing to implement industry’s best practices. Way too often, the “IT guy” didn’t answer the phone leaving the business scrambling to find a solution for their IT problems.
After working directly with business owners, I realized they just wanted the IT to work and forget about it. They didn’t want to deal with all headaches associated with computers, they just wanted someone reliable to take care of their network, protect their data and help them to make the right decisions when it comes to investing on IT.
So I decided Pronto Tech would be a different kind of IT company: we will work hard to earn and keep your trust by providing the best service, treating and protecting your data as our own, giving you the best available advice and never make you spend on something you don’t need. We will explain the problem (and the solution) as plain as possible, no geek nonsense. Since an educated user is the best protection against cyber threats, we make sure our customers are properly trained and aware of security risks and know how to avoid them.
This approach has earned us the trust of more than 150 small businesses in the DC metro area for which we provide full IT support, ranging from small issues like configuring Outlook to more complex projects like setting up servers, migrating to Cloud and IT consulting.
